In an effort to simplify life, founders Todd and Jill relocated from the busy, frantic lifestyle of downtown Chicago to the small, historical town of Galena, IL. Set amidst the rolling hills of northwestern Illinois, this community was just what they were looking for….an oasis with a strong entrepreneurial spirit in a town filled with artists, writers, photographers and its’ share of characters.
The foundation for the business was based on the experiences of both founders growing up with a close connection to nature and the environment. The pursuit to get back to those roots and re-establish a more healthful living style was the inspiration to launch The Galena Candle and Bath Company.
If you visit our store on Galena’s historic main street you will see first hand the environment we strive to create for everyone’s surroundings… un-cluttered, fresh, simple, and beautifully scented with a close connection to nature. Our aim is to have our customers relax in our creatively fragranced “oasis of serenity”. By establishing this type of atmosphere and product offerings we firmly believe that a holistic and healthy lifestyle can emerge.
